ECW was a free but infrequent online magazine of comment and analysis about electronic commerce. I published it with my colleague Chris Ogg (see below) from August 1999 to March 2002.
This was a period of high energy and hopes for ecommerce, a time when IT departments' obsession with ROI (return on investment) was weakened, when users had the power to start and run their own ecommerce sites and when people were thinking about IT's effects on strategy. It was also, of course, a period of ludicrous valuations, impossible expectations and many a lost fortune.
